Smile Movie 2022 : Despite the film’s modest budget, Parker Finn’s debut feature Smile broke records on Friday, grossing $8.2 million, including $2 million in previews, for a projected $19 million opening weekend, ahead of expectations.
In Smile, Kyle Gallner, Robin Weigert and Kal Penn star alongside Sosie Bacon, who plays a therapist who meets a graduate student who recently witnessed a gruesome suicide.
In this high-concept thriller, a young psychologist is essentially cursed by the evil that drives her crazy by displaying scary images and creepy smiling faces, but that threatens to end her life within a matter of minutes.
Smile Movie Story Line
“Smile” tells the story of a clinical psychiatrist Rose Cotter (Bacon) who watches a patient kill themselves in front of her. The patient slits their own throat, all the while smiling. She quickly discovers that this death is part of a series of similar violent acts, all involving smiling individuals. Is it possible for her to solve this curse (or whatever it is) before she becomes the next victim?

Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, Rob Morgan, Jessie T. Usher (A-Train from “The Boys”) and Robin Weigert also join Bacon and Gallner (Played role in “Scream” earlier this year). Despite being a small cast, everyone in this film does a good job.
